Grain postharvest losses especially the sorghum may be both the physical losses (weight and quality) suffered during postharvest handling operations and also the loss of opportunity as a result of producers being unable to access markets or only lower value markets due to, for example, sub-standard quality grain or inadequate market information. This book was written to respond the issues of poor quality and PHHS losses of Sorghum accrued at farm level and during markets accessibility. It was developed by the researcher on behalf of analyzing the existing laws, regulations and standards on food security and safety in Rwanda with special reference to post harvest of grains and pulses as well as the machine used during processing. It was elaborated to support the SME’s and individual producers in increasing the volume of cereals supplied to International, regional and local markets while minimizing Post harvest losses, increased quality and comply with international markets standards.
