The Bamboo Fishery/Fishing is a type of fishing technique that uses bamboo pipes to trap specific fish types that require dark environments for spawning. These are fish of the Catfish family; Chrysichthys species. The Whole fishing technique had been bastardized in the media without backing from research so it was the position of the author to support the media of fisherfolks at the end of the research. The objective of the project was to investigate the impact of the fishing method on (1) water quality, (2) bamboo forest and stock, (3) lake bed and (4) fish stock in the lake. The task went well and the results and recommendations were appropriately made. The project lasted about two years of continuous investigation. Bamboo fishing like any other venture has to be done in moderation to save the environment.
