Implementation of Social Studies Curriculum

The all-round development of any nation depends largely on the effective implementation of the educational curriculum. Generally, quality education invests man with the ability and opportunities for self - realization and the understanding of the environment around him (Ogakwu, 2010). An educated person has a greater advantage to use the wealth of knowledge as an active player for personal growth and national enhancement. Education is an instrument which serves as a means to open the door to national development and environmental sustainability. At any point in time, education is necessary for societal and country’s cultural, political and socio – economic development (Ofojebe, 2014).
