Trichilia species, as we mentioned in this article, still have a lot to give us in terms of fighting and even avoiding diseases like atherosclerosis, diabetes, fungal, neoplastic, bacterial and neurological disorders. Antineoplastic, anti-inflammatory, insecticidal and other properties of Trichilia limonoids have been investigated in vitro. Surprisingly, there are little works on the insecticidal action of Meliaceae. Advances in biological activities, as well as the identification of novel compounds should be monitored in the future. This study highlights its vast biotechnological potential as well as the name of phytochemical compounds in order to encourage more research into its use in the creation of herbal medicines for the treatment of a variety of human ailments.
