Sports serve as a powerful tool for the development of the human body. Practiced since ancient times, they have evolved over the years into what they are today. It is important to understand the stages adolescents undergo and what is essential for each stage of their development, both in physical growth and in the development of their motor skills. Engaging in various sports imparts important values to children in their physical and motor development. The monograph highlights the significance of physical development and fitness abilities in adolescents participating in major sports such as basketball, handball, and rhythmic gymnastics. We consider these three sports as good options for adolescents to practice and develop their motor abilities. The monograph analyzes the physical and fitness development of children involved in these three distinct sports and provides an overview of how each sport affects these components in adolescents and their growth over time. Additionally, we reveal the key factors influencing the practice of various sports, as well as the changes that occur in physical development and fitness qualities as a result of athletic activities.
