Tourism and Sustainable Development

The book "Tourism and Sustainable Development" concerns an interdisciplinary topic, uniting a wide range of issues and objects of research from various scientific fields - tourismology, geography, ecology, spatial development, etc. It collects articles by the two authors, published in recent years in various scientific journals, yearbooks and collections and discussed with colleagues, students and business people. The idea for this belongs to Generis Publishing, which proposed this way of comprehensive and structured coverage of the research topic. The texts in the book outline only some basic problems and directions in the field under consideration, share ideas for future research and are a starting point for additional observations and analyses.

The individual publications in the book have a common object – modern tourism. They are also united by their subject – the possibilities for achieving sustainability in the development of modern tourism. The authors’ goal is to highlight some aspects of the sustainable development of the tourism in the context of contemporary European and national growth policies.

The publication is structured in two parts.
