The cellular system is essential in modern telecommunications, utilizing frequency reuse across clusters of cells. While this method maximizes bandwidth efficiency, it also presents challenges like interference and a high probability of blocking (PoB) in densely populated areas. This work develops a Visual Basic application to measure key parameters affecting cellular network performance.
Cellular networks consist of cells served by base stations, allowing multiple users to connect simultaneously. However, as user numbers rise, so does PoB, leading to dissatisfaction, especially in urban settings. Additionally, interference among cells can degrade service quality and user experience for operators like Libyana and Almadar (Libya).
The application aims to analyze performance metrics such as blocking probability, coverage area, and interference levels, providing valuable insights for optimization. Developed through user-friendly design and real-world simulations in Bani Walid City, it measures critical metrics and facilitates informed decision-making for network operators. Ultimately, this work enhances service quality and addresses telecommunications challenges.
