Udokamma: Community and Witchcraft Allegations

This is a collection of essays on the sociology of knowledge and spirituality. The book intervenes on a rising epidemic of lynchings and abuse across Africa that could be addressed through policies to reduce sufferings and through public education to increase tolerance. Unfortunately, even the highly educated believe that the victims were witches capable of causing misfortunes and deserved to be lynched. This book is designed to be read and discussed by people in the community to help build what Martin Luther King Jr called the beloved community for all or what Desm,ond Tutu philosophized as Ubunmtu and Chinua Achebe called Mbari.
