South Sudan is enriched with natural resources including oil, forest, river, wetlands and livestock. The majority of livestock keepers are characterized as agro-pastoralist and pastoralist; they represent 85% of the entire population of the country. Lack of inadequate feeds resources has great effect on the local livestock production, which causes large importation of livestock products in the country. Therefore, this book analyses the major factors affecting productivity of indigenous dairy production and the findings will help the pastoralists’ communities to improve their production capacity by assisting them to adopt new skills and technologies for better livelihoods.
