One of the five pillars of Islam is salat. This is the most frequent practice of religious rituals. While shahadat as the first pillar is confessed only once by those who have just embraced Islam, salat should be performed at least 5 times a day. The other pillars are Zakat, fasting and performing the hajj pilgrimage in Mecca. Zakat, giving a charity to the poor, should be done once a year. Fasting in the month of Ramadan is done every year and hajj pilgrimage is done once in a lifetime for those who have the capacity to perform in all aspects: health, wealth and mentality. Salat is a ritual, and it is a prayer as an obligatory (wajib) as well as a recommendation (sunnah). This book discusses mostly about salat especially for Muallaf, those who just embraced Islam. This tells us about most important aspects of salat. The muallaf will need this book as a guidance to conduct the most practised ritual in Islam.
