Bleach is a detergent widely used all over the world, having many production methods, some of which include: electrolysis method as well the synthesis method. During the synthesis method, precipitated calcium carbonate is always generated as waste. GIC BELLOMAR enterprise is a bleach production enterprise that generates many tons of precipitated calcium carbonate during production. This precipitated calcium carbonate is toxic to the environment, for the damage it causes to both aquatic and terrestrial organisms. To solve this problem, we thought it necessary to valorize this precipitated calcium carbonate, for lime production. To achieve these objectives, the following methods were adopted. There were visual inspections, questionnaires, interviews with personnel’s using the 5W2H. These tools were used to quantify the amount of precipitated calcium carbonate generated at each moment of the bleach synthesis. An about 3.9 kg of this waste was generated for a period of one month. This waste had been a major problem to the enterprise and then needed to be managed not only to increase the company’s revenue but also to preserve the natural environment.
