The European Reformation was a religious reform movement with significant historical, social, political, intellectual, and religious implications for both European and world history. The development of the religious reform movement began the steps towards the beginning of civil society. The ground for the imposition of reason on all spheres of human life appeared.
This study highlights the implications and impacts of Islam in the milieu in which Luther lived. This influence of Islam led them to think about the stage of Religious Reform. The spread of Islamic science, beliefs, and thought in Europe was a language for scholars of the Church, especially those who wanted to reform religion in Europe. One of these scholars and religious men was Martin Luther, who had knowledge and views on the history of Islam and Muslims.
Also, the main purpose of this study is to investigate and analyse Luther’s views on the history of Islam and Muslims. It impacts his views on religious reform in Europe, and how Islam ultimately influenced Religious Reform in Europe. In addition, this study explains that Luther had knowledge of the history of Islam and Muslims.
